该句属于否定转移。在英语中,如果把“I think (believe...) 宾语从句”结构改成否定句习惯上把否定词从宾语从句移至主句,我们把这种现象称为“否定转移”。用在这种句型中的动词主要有:think, believe, expect, suppose, imagine ,guess等(hope 除外)。译成汉语时,仍将宾语从句译成否定意义。

我不相信他知道这个秘密。

I don’t believe he knows the secret.

我想他不会来参加会议的。

I don’t think he will come to the meeting.

我认为他们不会拒绝。

【拓展】

1.使用否定转移句型时主语必须是第一人称,主句谓语动词通常是以上六词之一,否则一般不用否定转移。

2. 这种句型变成反意疑问句时,疑问部分应与从句中的主语和谓语动词相对应,且用肯定形式。I don’t believe there is a ghost, is there? 我认为没有鬼,是吗?

3.不是所有可否定转移的动词的否定句都理解为否定宾语从句,这要根据句意或语境而定。We didn’t think we’d come so late.我们没有料到我们会来得这么晚。
